Yep, COVID levels remain really high in Illinois. If you're sick, you're about eight times more likely to have COVID than influenza, which has peaked and is dropping quickly. But of course no one is testing or masking. I guess they enjoy being ill?
It’s Wastewater Wednesday! How are COVID levels? We’re using two sources to help us keep track of the country and our state of Oregon.

Thank you to @michael-hoerger.bsky.social for the map and graph, and OHA for continuing to track data coming from our wastewater treatment centers!

Who's going to fill their pockets if they let us all die?
How about they go first?
Hollywood producer Barry Josephson to Jeffrey Epstein:

“I've been thinking a lot about that question that you asked bill gates 'how do we get rid of poor people as a whole'"

This doesn't surprise me. My ears have done some weird things since I had COVID six years ago.

The contrast is stark.

We value and celebrate organ donors...

But we hate organ transplant recipients, because we expect them to stay shut up indoors for the rest of their lives to avoid contracting serious infectious diseases.

So trumpRx is a scam. No one could have seen this coming.
📈TrumpRx price for acid reflux drug Protonix💊= $200, with no generic options offered. Generic version of this common acid reflux pantoprazole drug at Walmart and Safeway= just $10-12. Price inflation => 18x. Don’t fall for the scam.

🚨🚨 ATTENTION:
An ED doc just donned an N95 on this week's episode of The Pitt after a patient was Dx'd with TB. 🚨🚨
Also, said patient was tested for COVID.

Rich people never support anything that helps the people they exploit to get richer. I thin we're all starting to understand that and unite around holding the wealthy to account. Democrats had better get on board. Now. We're about to delete the rich. There's a better way to live.
“The number of children living in poverty had the largest single-year drop ever to a record low of 5.2%… Who could possibly not cheer for results like this? Well, for one, billionaires who require people to be struggling enough that they are willing to be Domino’s Pizza delivery drivers.” #COVID

It would look like free LFTs, free respirators, and not being allowed to leave your home if/while you are positive, so paid time off work. Crying billionaires should always have been ignored. The first year-ish might be a little hairy but, after that community transmission levels would be low.
What would an adequate COVID response look like?

"We have a public that is largely uneducated about and unaware of the problem, thanks to the tireless efforts of our political leaders and corporate media outlets who pushed for a “new normal” of forever COVID reinfections."

People who are more invested in consumption than justice are a big part of the problem. They are feeding the billionaires.
This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

The Ketamine KKKowboy's going to have to sit for a deposition about his demolition of USAID. 👍
A federal court cleared way for us @democracydefendersfund.org to depose Elon Musk over the unconstitutional shutdown of USAID

Our case now moves into discovery

Big win for ICE/Republicans. Judges just think laws and the constitution are optional for brown people now. This is why Democrats should not be voting yes on *any* of trump's nominees. Republicans own ALL of this death and destruction.
BREAKING: A 5th Circuit panel has backed ICE's mass detention policy, a decision that clears the way for the administration to lock up people who are in immigration proceedings

It's a 2-1 ruling
Majority: Jones (Reagan), Duncan (Trump)
Minority: Douglas (Obama)

Olympians are masking up with N95s because they know a covid infection can derail their chances of competing.

They know it could derail their careers.

They know it could disable them.

They’re practicing self care and community care.

Give them a gold medal in public health!

If we taxed the top 10% properly, we could do this here. The only chance my granddaughter has of going to college is if I die soon enough that her inheritance is big enough to get a degree.
