Last year I paid for all of my mom's funeral arrangements but put policies in my twin sister's name because she has power of attorney.

The result? I now get her student loan mail to my house.

Living in the US is like "Oh you are planning your mother's funeral? YOU HAVE MONEY WE WANT"

Am I the only one who is having flashbacks to a certain Chicago baseball team breaking a championship drought in 2016 given the Bears win yesterday and like semi-worried about the next political wave it will usher in?

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

Y'all could impeach her but I notice that this is not what's on offer.
Kristi Noem must resign today.

Her time as Secretary has been a complete moral failure and a public safety disaster. ICE under her leadership has repeatedly ignored our laws, terrorized communities, and made America less safe.

She must resign.

this was also consensus opinion for center-right types after george floyd’s murder five years ago. the state media apparatus will be working overtime the next few weeks to reprogram them
Really worth watching this interview with a bystander who witnessed the ICE shooting in Minneapolis: "I'm pretty right-leaning. But seeing this, this is not how we're supposed to be doing things in America.”

Went to my first meeting 8 years ago but committed to the Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families program officially three years ago!

Happy 12-step anniversary to me—grateful for the ongoing gifts of recovery.

I am indeed worth it and it absolutely works if I work it.
