It's up to us to not shame ourselves for being vulnerable to that kind of pressure-- & to manage our underappreciated "fawn" reflex w/ respect, realism, & compassion.

In the years after the Me Too movement, it seemed like there was finally an open forum to have urgent discussions on the prevalence of sexual violence on university campuses. But that momentum has faded with the pandemic, austerity, and rising conservatism.
What Happened to the Campus Me Too Movement? | The Local
Without enough brothers to fill their houses, some fraternities have begun renting rooms to non-students desperate for cheap rent. The results have been messy.

I truly wish people understood my case for despair like Philip Elliot Slater does.
Despair is the only cure for illusion. Without despair we cannot transfer our allegiance to reality - it's a kind of mourning period for our fantasies. Some people do not survive this despair, but no major change within a person can occur w/out it.~Philip Elliot Slater, 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬
