If we can understand how the manipulation of truth contributes to social and political corruption, wouldn’t it follow that we’d want to attend to all the ways we twist our own truth, even just to ourselves? This is shadow work, the secret weapon in the revolution.

Epstein survivor Anouska De Georgiou: The fact that the very people who are meant to lead this country have completely retraumatized us… it’s—I mean—it’s like being raped by the Department of Justice.

It feels worth saying that the thing that unifies men as disparate as Noam Chomsky, Deepak Chopra and Trump is patriarchy. Patriarchy, hatred of women, and the need to dominate them, persists across race and class status. Left movements refuse a robust analysis of persisting gender violence.

It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.

In case it isn’t obvious, “switch ICE to night raids” was never on the list of demands from the people of Minnesota.

There’s something uniquely cruel in telling people to expect that they will be abducted in their sleep.

Sola Scriptura has everything to do with current frameworks for literacy instruction in education, which treat text and its meaning as objects to achieve and remove the interpretive meaning-making process highly influenced by culture.

There’s a temptation to settle for less than abolishing ICE. The establishment certainly wants to stop at far less than abolishing ICE. But our future depends on its abolition. In Congress and in the streets we need to push harder than ever, not accept appeasement.

Been neck-deep in evangelical pronatalist writing for months.

Becoming more convinced this genre serves the same purpose as apologetics. It's not *really* intended to convince the unconvinced, but rather to reinforce in-group identity & norms ("this is what WE think") as distinct from "the world."

You know, Helen of Troy was fathered by a swan and born from an egg but I’m not hearing any swan complaining she doesn’t represent them accurately. Probably because the swans are aware of how mythology works and that she is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.

Kudos to Mayor Mamdani.

This is what economic justice looks like.

And it's a reminder of how we can fight corporate greed at the state and local level. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/01/mamdani-ice-delivery-workers-settlement-backpay-uber-gig-workers-million/

“There is no conceivable degree of institutional incompetence sufficient to explain the scale, consistency, and persistence of the failures that occurred —particularly where the sole task ordered by the Court and repeatedly emphasized by DOJ was simple: redact known victim names before publication,”

There is a Leviathan deep within me preparing to surface and scream her holy rage.
No one who has seen the Epstein case unfold should have any doubt left about why victims don’t report. When reporting means facing more abuse, more exploitation, and more betrayal at the institutional level, while the perpetrators are the leaders of the very systems of “justice” supposed to help you

Predicting that this week we’ll hear more conciliatory words from the Administration regarding Minnesota (since they’re starting to realize that ICE has become politically toxic) but everyone outside of Minnesota needs to know that nothing on the ground has changed.

Epstein read and recommended Dobson to someone. Of course he did. Of course he did.
Then there is a really weird text convo between Jeffrey and someone (her name has been redacted). I am assuming she is young. Epstein yells at her bc she was nice to a guy with a small dick but complained about her dad. So he sent her a James Dobson article to read.
