I'm so sick of doomers complaining about how much things suck in the world but never actually do anything about it.

They don't provide solutions to problems, they just whine and whine.

🧡 In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we share this Peanuts comic strip from January 18, 1993.

Franklin, the calm, cool, and collected Peanuts character, was introduced shortly after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in April 1968.

Change has never been easy. It takes persistence and determination, and requires all of us to speak out and stand up for what we believe in. As we honor Dr. King today, let’s draw strength from his example, and do our part to build on his legacy.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.

Roger Allers gave us so many unforgettable animated moments.

He did a splendid job with "The Lion King" and his beautiful short "The Little Matchgirl", served as head of story of "Beauty and the Beast" and his original Incan story eventually led to "The Emperor's New Groove."

Zootopia 2 has now surpassed Inside Out 2 at the box office and has become the highest-grossing American animated film of all time, only being behind Ne Zha 2. I had a feeling this was gonna be a big film, but even I'm amazed how quickly it broke the record in a short time.

Indeed. Like, Casey Newton's main motivation throughout the film is looking for a way to improve and fix things for humankind, even as her teachers prefer to sell doomerism and not offer any possible solutions at all

As she says in one scene, "I get things are bad. But what are we doing to fix it?"

I think about that speech often (but I'm also a huge fan of Tomorrowland) and it's gotten better and more relevant with each passing year.

There are too many people don't want to offer viable suggestions on how we could improve society. They just prefer to doomscroll and make others do the same.

And if I was a director, I would never set foot anywhere near the Star Wars franchise. I don't know how Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams handle the horrible things said to them.

Even George Lucas had to deal with this, even though now you have the same angry fanbase saying they want him back.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: if you were openly and loudly ANGRY that The Last Jedi wasn't EXACTLY everything you wanted it to be, then I don't wanna hear you complain about Coogler, or Soderbergh for that matter, not getting their chance to make Star Wars movies.
Ryan Coogler has seemingly spoken to Lucasfilm about making a STAR WARS project, hints Kathleen Kennedy.

“But Star Wars isn’t really Ryan’s thing. The trickiest thing is to find a filmmaker and say, ‘You can step into this space and you can still be you.’”

It sucks that TFA got me back into SW, Rogue One was pretty fun even if it was only the final act that was truly great and TLJ became my favorite SW to date and then right after that, it became so hard to enjoy anything or even discuss it.

Thank you Kathleen Kennedy for everything you've done during your time as the head of Lucasfilm and for bringing Star Wars to a new era where for the first time, the generation inspired by the films got to play their part in a galaxy far far away.

May the force be with you Mrs. Kennedy, always.
