It doesn't matter how well woven, how well designed, how well animated something is. If a work exists simply as a means of spite, it is automatically ugly. No questions asked.

"I'm old.....er!" That's probably how Jamie Lee Curtis felt coming back to this franchise. letterboxd.com/alexklepp/fi...
A ★★★½ review of Freakier Friday (2025)
I think the first "Freaky Friday" is one of the best roles of both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan's careers and it's easy to see why the latter became a breakout thanks to that film and "Mean Girl...

When Fantasia was first released on November 13, 1940, the film was a total flop due to the extremely limited amount of screenings, and a very mixed reception from critics. 85 years later, it's now considered one of the greatest movies in cinema that highlights the magic of Disney and animation.

Rather than going the extreme cancel culture route, I can think of three ways to handle this:
Don’t watch any AI content created on the service
Don’t be among the users who make AI content
Hope that not too many users even take part in the new tools that create AI content.
Bob Iger says Disney+ will soon have AI-generated short form content from users

To be honest, I don't get the appeal of TikTok. No offense to anyone who has an account. I just don't think it's enjoyable or fun. The only Tik Tok I enjoy is the Ke$ha song.

What movie villain is a horrible person, but an absolute joy to watch on screen?

I approve of Brie Larson Rosalina for 3 reasons:

1. She sounds pretty good in the trailer

2. She’s a huge Nintendo fan who no doubt wants to do the character justice

3. She’s gonna make all the worst people in the world fucking MALD

It’s the new “STEVE HILLENBURG HATED SPINOFFS”. Y’all just like white knighting for no reason.
Cause we've been doing this for 15 years now. Nobody at Pixar ever said Toy Story 3 was gonna be the last one. Nobody at Pixar ever said Toy Story 4 was gonna be the last one either.

Andrew Stanton pitched 4 before 3 was even finished. Please stop with this "They originally stopped at 3." shit.

Great thread, Dalton.
With the teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 recently dropping online, I think now is the perfect time for me to share my why I think Toy Story 4 is a worthy addition to the franchise and why I'm eternally optimistic about Toy Story 5 potential. 🧵

The Running Man is not a remake. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

It’s really not that hard when someone is expressing that they like something to just not say, “No, that’s terrible.”

That’s throwing a cold bucket of water over someone’s head for just saying that they like something.

Seriously, if I have learned anything these past two years in particular, it's that instead of expressing in a mature manner how to resolve a problem or present their side of an argument, there are people who just prefer to yell, name-call and bang loudly on doors, which helps nobody.

I saw a DVD for the new Smurfs movie in a Wal-Mart and some critics said it was “a smurfing good time” and “very funny.” Which I could agree but I’m glad someone else enjoyed it.

I don’t care how much you hate superhero movies or live action remakes or whatever doesn’t fit your idea of “real movies”, calling Bay an auteur when he puts shit like this in the Transformers movies is…a choice. A questionable one, too.

Bayformers is the TOP reason why Film Revisionism is a disease. You want to say the prequels are better films than TLJ or MOS than Superman, more power to you. But the moment I see you're ripping on Modern Films for being "slop" while also trying to claim Bay as an auteur, I'm gonna judge you. HARD

Sad thing is, I’ve seen people say those exact same words but just replace Hillenburg with Walt Disney, Rev W Awdry, Satoru Iwata and some others.
If anything people talking like this in their name will make them roll in their graves more than whatever is going on with their franchises right now.
This comment is unironically gross.
