Has Hayes not even noticed right now that many AI platforms are quickly turning into massive money sinks and investors and GPU makers such as Nvidia are starting to have 2nd thoughts?
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

I frankly would hate to imagine the art this guy drew of the Owl House and Amphibia.
Shitty artwork is quite an understatement, past me.
To give you guys an idea, when the Blues Clue’s and Animaniacs revivals were announced, he took to MS Paint and posted hate art of Yakko and Blue decapitated and hanging from nooses.

I think the real problem is lack of Filmation awareness. He-Man and She-Ra people know. GhostBusters, Star Trek and Fat Albert, maybe a passing familiarity. But the rest of their library has pretty much been allowed to be forgotten since L'Oreal shut them down in '89 and destroyed the masters.

If you are wondering why Filmation's Ghostbusters is so radically different its because it's actually a sequel series to a live action sitcom made by Filmation in the 1970s called Ghost Busters, emphasis on the space. Columbia actually had to license the name when making the one we all know.
Unironically want the two legally distinct Ghostbusters to crossover, not just because it would be fun, but also because the idea of a Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr remix with the instrumental of the Filmation GB theme just makes my brain tickle

Its actually kinda crazy finding out that quite a lot of WB animation alumni including Tom Ruegger and Paul Dini actually cut their teeth working at Filmation. You can tell that Animaniacs and Tiny Toons were their way of giving the middle finger to their former employers.
It was a bad toy commercial, made by penny pinchers who made their animators miserable.
Its greatest legacy to me is nearly all the people who worked on it couldn't wait to make actual animation again, leading to Batman TAS, Tiny Toons, several Nickelodeon cartoons etc.
