Apparently nostalgia isn’t bad for these people when it’s the superhero movies they prefer. God those losers are so transparent it hurts
It's really showing how shallow the discourse of The MCU has become that the same people generating ragebait outrage over the Steve Rogers teaser are currently nutting over that leaked X-Men one.

Here is my opinion.
Black Canary is one of the best heroes in comics.
She has style, wit, honor, integrity, empathy, and an infallible sense of devotion to doing the right thing.
She will kick your ass if you need it, and then offer you a hand up off the ground.
No one else quite like her.

Here is my opinion.
Black Canary is one of the best heroes in comics.

So many nerds online have a catch-22 relationship with media: they want it to be popular because they like it, but if it does they’ll get insecure because it’s not “special” anymore and they turn on it. Like clockwork.
Prediction - Marty Supreme will become mainstream (if it hasn't already), sweep the awards, Film Twitter will start an obnoxious hatedom for it, and then they will act like they never liked it or that it was never good in the first place.

People really need to learn the difference between snarky riffing that's done in good faith and fun (like what RiffTtrax does) vs bad faith criticism, shouting petty insults at people, and simply being an asshole for no good reason.

It should be a rule that unless you can actually articulate why you don’t like media instead of resorting to buzzwords, you shouldn’t post.

I will be repeating this advice (or my version of it) for the rest of my life, as a personal crusade.
There is no such thing as networking. There is making friends. And you can be genuine and kind… or transactional and worthless.

Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.
