I don’t care how much you hate superhero movies or live action remakes or whatever doesn’t fit your idea of “real movies”, calling Bay an auteur when he puts shit like this in the Transformers movies is…a choice. A questionable one, too.

For no reason I feel compelled to remind folks that BATMAN: YEAR ONE - considered the definitive Batman origin - has an issue where Batman has to fight through a building of corrupt cops who abuse their power to try and kill him.

I was exposed to Drew Struzan’s work thanks to watching the original STAR WARS trilogy, BACK TO THE FUTURE, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and HOOK. All of those videotapes and DVD’s bore his artwork, and let you know you were in for something special. He’ll be missed.
