Creating and curating in NYC
Men who get it just get it. And may the ones who don’t never find me.
The pressure is the reciprocity. Yea, they may like you but do you actually like them if you not applying pressure?

I'm one of the four fired employees. I was a writer & producer at Bon Appétit for nearly five years, during which I helped organize our union and sat on our bargaining committee.

I am, to my knowledge, the only trans woman in our union and the only trans woman on editorial who doesn't work at Them
New: Conde Nast fired four employees who were among a group that confronted the company's head of human resources on Wednesday over the decision to fold Teen Vogue into Vogue/recent cuts. Employees who were fired included journalists from the New Yorker, Wired, and Bon Appétit.

Re-upping my Epstein essay from August as new information emerges today.

Caution: disturbing descriptions of my and others’ sexual assaults.

Release all the damn files. This is the ultimate test of this nation’s useless partisanship.
"I understand why women are afraid to come forward. I didn’t call the cops on my rapist & I’ve never named him publicly. It’s sure not because I’m protecting him. I’m protecting myself. Nobody would've believed this trailer-park girl vs that Big Man On Campus," @donnerkay.bsky.social writes.
The Epstein Saga Is Not a Game. It’s About Protecting Women.
Donna Ladd reflects on her own story amid the still-unfolding Jeffrey Epstein saga of rape, retribution and the protection of sexual predators.

NYC yes but specifically Queens
New York HAS to be on the list if we're talking food and I'd also like to submit Philly, Baltimore, Austin and Savannah as underrated very good food cities!!
New Orleans, Houston, and Chicago are the ONLY food cities that matter in this country.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,

Really great week to be a New Yorker who hated Eric Adam’s guts since he first opened his mouth to run for mayor.

In the last month at O’Hare International Airport, federal agents have repeatedly abducted rideshare drivers with legal work permits from their cars and disappeared them to immigration jails or fast-track deportation flights.

Idgaf I’ll say it. I love socialism because it works. And it’s what capitalism reverts to any time we need temporary relief.

If you’re canceling and want to preserve your playlists/songs, you can use SongShift. It will help transfer to platforms like Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, Soundcloud, Deezer, Audiomack, Discogs, Hype Machine, Napster, Qobuz, and YouTube.
Spotify is running recruitment ads for ICE.

A platform built to connect creators and listeners is helping an authoritarian regime build up its secret police force.

But we’re not going to idly accept that. We’re going to make Spotify listen: indivisible.org/cancel-spoti... #CancelSpotify

JUST IN: The U.S. Senate has voted 52–48 to overturn Trump’s 50% tariffs on Brazil. Five Republicans joined Democrats: Susan Collins (ME), Mitch McConnell (KY), Lisa Murkowski (AK), Rand Paul (KY), and Thom Tillis (NC).

The measure is DOA in the House.

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering
