Wait wait wait, this "drawdown" is because sheriffs agreed to break state law to help DHS with nazi crimes on the stipulation their legal costs are covered when people rightly say hey fucko thats illegal? This isn't a drawdown, it is just replacing some DHS goons with regular cops

If the trans hyde amdt was enacted nationally it would’ve meant most of us having to flee the country or go entirely black market and instead we may have bought enough time to avoid the worst for trans rights in the United States (for now)
We aren’t out of the woods yet, but this quietly marks a real shift in the political dynamics around trans issues.
