While I'm happy to see this get picked up the reality is that a lot of this information became known in the immediate aftermath of her death as a result of the determination of a lot of people who were close to her, and the fact that it took so long to get here is incredibly frustrating.

I wrote this post due to constant discourse centering around whether taking hormones was "conformist" in nature or not, and the suggestion that uplifting trans people who didn't take hormones was "more radical".
