Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.
The intense fallout from the killing of Alex Pretti has forced President Trump to publicly change course in Minneapolis.

Listen to our White House reporters discuss the changes on today's episode of "The Daily."

This isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.
This just in: "Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards," Lemon's attorney Abbe Lowell says.

Folks, I don't know whether the dems will make good use of this in 2 weeks.

But this is an amazing move in terms of the possibilities it opens up.

They can now block DHS funding forever with no collateral damage
Republicans agreed to split up the spending bill -- pass year long funding for the other five bills + a DHS two week CR to allow time for negotiations.

After executing Alex Pretti on Saturday, ICE has shifted to primarily targeting bus stops and elementary schools in my community this week. I cannot overstate how much of the ICE activity in my community is just targeting places where little kids are.

The DHS defense of Pretti's killing focuses on the existence of the gun. But look at everything that happened before the agents discovered the gun.
DHS agents escalated: macing and mercilessly beat Pretti as he tried to protect two people being assaulted. None of that was remotely acceptable.
