There are, like 50 Limbertwig apples. all originating from southern Appalachia.

Every Limbertwig I have tried has been a winner.

A few days in the life of some of our apples. These will come back to Le Manoir as apple brandy in 5 years time.

A big shout out to Capreolus distillery who we have worked with for a few years now.

I love seeing the outcome of so much work over the growing year.

So once again the mighty Howgate Wonder from the Orchard Notes orchard wins this year’s crown at 1lb 13oz (822g) 🏆 My own Bramley entry taking the Wooden Spoon at a puny 1lb 2oz (495g). Congratulations to all who entered. 🌱

This one is sure to be controversial
And away we go -- it's Halloween, but today's apple is a little more sci-fi in name than scarefest. It's time to review the theoretical heir to the Honeycrisp throne --

The Cosmic Crisp.

Speaking of apples, I found this one on a recent trip. Now I can't seem to learn anything about it!

Anyone?

A freshly picked Macoun, of course. But the first apple of the season is memorable. And a crisp russet near the end of season.

Today we’re celebrating all things apple. This is a great opportunity to reflect upon our seasonal harvest, and a chance to connect with local growers, seek out your nearby orchards, and buy English, local, and fresh.
