I'm a short king myself, but folks, there's a "large fascist the size of a small fascist" joke right here.

I know Will wasn’t the first to say it, but I cant stop thinking about “we will never have as many guns as they have/they will never have as many people as we have” and how easy that makes it to pick a strategy
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.

This kiddo is 2. She was detained with her father returning from grocery shopping. A federal judge ordered her release last night, but twenty minutes later, ICE flew her to Texas. My latest.

ICE flew a detained Minneapolis 2-year-old and her father to Texas despite a court order that required the toddler’s release, a lawyer for the family said Friday.

I've been seeing people excitedly share how cold it is going to be in Minneapolis tomorrow and relishing how ICE will deal with it, as if ICE won't choose that day to do some starlight tours.

People will have to be even more vigilant, over a wider area.

This guy. THIS GUY.
Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

The past few months, I've been playing with Math Academy. I used to be big into math. After college, I dropped off. I'm both evaluating Math Academy before using it with my kids, and trying to get a running start to stay ahead of 'em a little longer. I really like it so far!

I wouldn’t even fuck with code words honestly. Don’t do crimes with people you don’t know and trust and don’t talk about things in public settings you don’t want other people to hear

Long shot: anyone know of a dairy-free/vegan chocolate bar that is like Hershey's? Dark chocolate is probably fine, but texture/waxiness is definitely needed. (This is not for me!)

In between calls to various officials, I spent a few minutes and made my first Obsidian plugin. It makes table headers sticky. github.com/adamwolf/sti...

I haven't submitted it to the plugin catalog yet. First, I'd love at least a thumbs up from a few other folks who have used it.

I've been away for a while, folks, dealing with some particularly persistent identity fraud stuff. I probably won't share any real details in public, but it's a hell of a story.

@atinygreencell.bsky.social Apologies if I've asked you this before. Have you written anything already on resources/projects for kids for bio stuff?

If I want to build a personal library or saved links / quotes / articles, with some way of publishing and sharing parts of it - what's the best solution?

I have a hunch @obsidian.md is part of the solution? Or maybe aredotna?

Lab on the Cheap (www.labonthecheap.com) looks like an amazing resource, but no updates since 2021. I periodically run across great journal articles, but is there a place where articles on DIY cheap lab equipment are gathered?

I've got a real itch to design and build a homebrew low-cost atomic force microscope. I'm super curious what can be done with hobbyist tools, technique, and supplies these days, leaning on 3D printing, cheap PCBs, cheap parts.
