Friendly tip for folks. My discord got hacked yesterday and my computer was acting funky ever since. Turns out it was malware installed through a blender file I bought as part of an asset pack on CG Trader. I didn’t know blender files were being used this way, but I figured I’d spread the word.

I know I've done some complaining about the art tooling in Godot, but credit where it's due; they're out there talking to devs working with the engine, finding out what folks like and what they think could be stronger. High five, Godot foundation. Good job.

yesterday we did a sculpting intro in class. I start with normal instruction but then the last 45 minutes is to just make a weird little guy using all we learned. And the vibe is awesome every year... people asking questions and chatting about whatever. Good college times.

Doing a rearrange of the house and i stumbled across some old art from what feels like a lifetime ago. Penny arcade about Monaco, supergiant posters signed by jen. She got t&t stuff signed by me. Fun memories. This all used to be in my office, back when I had a whole room to myself.

Friends, my beard is gorgeous right now. Long as its ever been. Graying in a way that says "this guy knows about stuff". If you're a beardo, you'd look at this beard and say, "woah, sweet beard".

And I'm chopping it off tomorrow for a Halloween costume, and it's a good bit, but I'm SAD

I'm doing some work right now that feels like the best work I've done in a long time. Nothing I can show yet... or even want to, because maybe this fizzles out and doesn't become anything. But for right now, it's Very Exciting.

You can still play this. A nice little community runs a server. Probably not interesting without memories of the game when it was new, but (as a ride or die Westwood fan) I'm into it

Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%
