I’m a lot less jaded by “the industry” than I am of over two decades being exposed by the BS and consequences of bad decisions made by jackals who use politics to serve themselves before they serve the team and the game experience.
That part kills me slowly & neither AAA or indie is free from it.

when I first joined the industry, I was told by coworkers that it was refreshing to work with someone who wasn't jaded yet. I told them I hoped to never become that way.
I feel myself becoming a jaded game dev, after everything this industry has put me through. Is this just how we all end up?

1. Starter packs are awesome. I made a game dev one here -> go.bsky.app/RxQCsKS
2. Bluesky's block is much more potent. Do not quote, or dunk. There's no pay-to-win so silence does remove nasty people. Blocks and move on copiously.

As I'm wrapping up my (insert random horrific number here)'s viewing of DS9, two things come to mind:
1️⃣ Louise Fletcher is an amazing actress and Kai Winn is one of the best characters in the series as a result.
2️⃣ I really hate Sisko's child of the prophets thing + ending
Bonus 3️⃣ Garak 💖

Decided to troubleshoot the Sonos app as the Arc's volume keeps dropping to zero whenever I turn the tv off or pause for a few minutes.
App: No system connected to your wifi
??? It is!! I use it right now!
I had to go through the whole app setup as if I'd never done it.
This brand is a joke 👌👎

Finally got around to connect my sonos soundbar
Of course nothing can be plug and play anymore.
Plug in
Factory reset because the wifi changed
Update Sonos app
Connect in app
Reboot router
Connect bar to wifi
Update bar firmware
Finalize settings in app
It works now I think?
