Canada: I know you're still talking about the UCP stripping Albertans rights with the NWC, but this government is in full Trump flood-the-zone mode, you have to keep up. Today they started to create a UCP police force and they dropped heavily gerrymandered new districts. This is an emergency.

Fuck you Danielle Smith, fuck you UCP, and fuck you to every Albertan who voted for this.

Here's something that needs to be stressed: no amount of saying "political violence is never acceptable" is going to make Republicans NOT do more political violence and become more extreme. They were doing that anyway and it's literally not possible for them to do that faster than they already are.

Well, the list of books being banned from EPSB is appalling. And it's very likely that an author on this list will get their other works pulled too, especially in the absence of teacher librarians.

There are books on this list that changed my life. This is what the UCP is taking away from kids.

In exchange for less than nothing, Canada has to date:
-spent $1.3 billion to address a non-existent fentanyl border issue;
-introduced Trump-friendly border legislation;
-sacrificed the Digital Services Tax, at a cost of $1.4 billion/year.
It's almost as if the lesson is: appeasement doesn't work.

Ten years ago, Alberta’s median income was 17% higher than the national average.

Today, with a mere 2% above national, we’ve fallen behind BC & Quebec.

This decline is evident in rising unemployment and falling wages.

The UCP promised prosperity, but delivered a decline.
