How are there ever going to be consequences for ice lying repeatedly, in every press release it seems? Judges must understand that lying is the default behaviour for these organizations by now, how can they accept their testimony in court??

The US is not a signatory to the ICC and has severe sanctions against several ICC judges, including a Canadian. They have no jurisdiction to enter the US or try a US citizen unless the US signs on.

You just reposted and wrote 4 skeet's about a dictionary ad. While I understand the concern, they didn't announce an AI product, they announced the latest edition of their century-old reference book, but you're mad because they made you care? The pathos doesn't match the "crime" here...

The moral of this story is that it works both ways: documenting bad behaviours and horrible people can provide effective contemporaneous notes years later.

I wrote a *furious* complaint about Columbia House on USENET after a manager cursed me out when I tried to cancel. He fraudulently signed me again but when collections showed up years later, I printed those posts and asked if they'd like to see if a judge believed I signed up again that week.

Yes, the template and wording for this initiative came from American right wing Christian nationalist orgs. Including making schools create the list, but accusing them of "vicious compliance", so they can say they didn't want this, even though they made it happen.

Well, the list of books being banned from EPSB is appalling. And it's very likely that an author on this list will get their other works pulled too, especially in the absence of teacher librarians.
