"Subtlety? What's that?
So far the "Board of Peace" is Trump, Orban, Lukaschenko and Netanyahu.

Which if you wrote in a satire would be considered too outlandish and sent back.

the average minnesota mom has done more to fight donald trump than almost the entire senate democratic caucus
This - I I’ve watched programs about people putting everything on the line to rescue people from the Nazis. I’ve watched on TV and online as people in Chicago, Minneapolis, and elsewhere have struggle to protect their neighbors and friends from the ICE monsters.

You mean hauling up on someone's property with guns out, without their permission, is LEGAL EVERYWHERE ELSE in the US? WTF?

Supreme Court seems likely to rule that Hawaii's "vampire rule" that restricts people bringing guns onto private property without permission infringes on the Second Amendment:

Supreme Court skeptical of Hawaii's 'vampire rule' for gun owners
Justices are weighing the state's requirement that people with firearms seek consent from owners before entering private property — much like Dracula.

I think buried in the files too is how billionaires are pulling the strings of everyone and everything with texts and emails to each other. It’s chilling to read Epstein tell Bannon that Kavanaugh is in the bag with Gorsuch in turning over Chevron before he was even nominated.
Jennings: Let's not get our knickers in a twist here

McGowan: Why are you talking like that? It's insane. Your attitude is just horrifying…

Scott Jennings is either a child rapist, or he is willing to be blasé about child rape to cozy up to power, which is worse. There is no stone large enough to drag that man down with.

We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done: A superpower is committing suicide because the GOP Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King.

This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.

Swallows Gold and Barks Rubbish (2023). Erudite followers might recognize this cat world drawing as a version of John Heartfield's montage, "Adolf the Übermensch: Swallows Gold and Spouts Junk" (1932) from the cover of AIZ. I suggest viewers take a look at this and his other works.

Because so many working visitors only see the rich areas of the US, there is a strong 'North Korea Tourist' effect on their experiences. They think all of us are as rich and as spoiled rotten as the people they had to work with for those three years, but +80% of us do not resemble this.
I think a lot of the world looks at the US and sees 330 million spoiled, stupid rich people and I wish it was easier to explain why that's wrong to people who've only seen New York and maybe DC or LA, but you can never convince them that they don't understand the whole thing.

I can’t go to the grocery store alone right now because ICE is racially profiling and abducting people who aren’t white
Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

This aphorism is only occasionally & conditionally true, which means conveying it as a truism is a lie. There are countless quips and phrases like this, in English in particular, which are like viral lies we tell each other, and we must hunt them all down and kill them.
“The truth always lies somewhere in the middle” has to be one of my least favorite phrases. Sometimes, one side is actually truthful and one side is actually malicious and lying!

I feel like this pretty much sums up the rot at the core of American civic life as a whole.

“Hold the fuck up, cowboy. I signed up for the great power, not the great responsibility when I signed up for the church/media/government/think tank complex/etc.”
can u imagine being not only a baptized christian but an ordained priest and then, when NPR asks you about the Bishop of New Hampshire's comments last week, what you find to say is "I didn't sign up to be a martyr"??

A lot of artists I work with regularly ditched Adobe for Clip Studio Paint and other art programs when Adobe began to deny them the ability to purchase Photoshop outright. In my creative circles, it went from the thing everyone uses to the one no one does in less than three years.

I'm finally making some progress on the artwork for 'Willie & Pete Journey to the West' after the longest spell of artist's block I've yet experienced. Some better brushes for CSP seems to have broken the spell. This is inking work for the cover art.

So she had a pulse. That’s what the doctor on the scene wanted to check. She wasn’t breathing, but she had a pulse. He could have started CPR right away.

Instead ICE barred the doctor from attending her and waited 15 mins for EMT to get to her.

I remembered this was happening earlier and I laughed like the Joker, involuntarily. It was not really pleasant. But, even looking at this monstrous and pathetic photo... I don't think this event is funny so much as it is a sort of distilled madness. As if knowing it is true is making me insane.
It’s even more embarrassing than I imagined.
