Education for All - Literacy for Liberation (2021) is another sovcat commission featuring a beautiful trio.

The human world poster is based on a FAI-CNT poster from the Spanish Civil War, Federación Anarquista Ibérica - Confederación Nacional Del Trabajo, 1936.

This year's drawings were overall more involved than previous times and quite a challenge. Seeing the results makes it all worthwhile, however, and there are enough ideas to develop further here to keep me busy for another year! Many of these will definitely become posters and paintings.

Ready for a tail-puffing tale of terror? I give you "VACANT," the recent release from Scaredy Cat Pictures for today's #inktober. #inktober2025 So what's this movie about anyway?

As today's prompt is 'lesson,' I drew an educational cartoon page from the early 20th century with some definitions. #inktober #inktober2025 #worker

A postal mailer with sovcat propaganda stickers, postcards, and coasters. The envelope has been beautifully embellished with my name and a couple kitty cat doodles. Void cat Regis inspects the WORKERS DEMAND JUSTICE AND PEACE poster Close up of the plastic protective covering on the top of the poster. There are four claw punctures in the shape of a perfect cat paw. So much for peace. Fortunately, the poster was not harmed.

Today's prompt was onion, but all I could think of was the power of the workers and peasants to exorcise a demon. This one pairs with last year's drawing, a soviet cat soldier destroying vampires. #inktober #inktober2025

"Putting It Together." Today's prompt was puzzling and this came together quickly.
An ink drawing that is also a cat propaganda poster. A large cat paw holds a puzzle piece that says "capitalism." The piece held is the last piece in the puzzle indicated by a large, dark spot in the center of the puzzle. Emerging from the word capitalism are organic tendrils like virus or slime that spread out and connect other words such as "Alienation," "Homelessness," "Imperialism," and "Chemical Pollution," etc.

Purrletarian Democracy, playing on a catified adaptation of Rockwell's Freedom of Speech but imagining it as a workers' council meeting.

In the center of the drawing a cat in the garb of a worker stands in the middle of a seated crowd. He is about to utter some words, perhaps give a speech or an opinion on a matter of importance. Most of the crowd looks on awaiting what he has to say. In the front, a fellow cat holds a paper which reads "General Meeting, Workers' Council - PSR" indicating this an important political meeting. We see the same paper folded in the front jacket pocket of the standing cat.

Today's prompt was blast so I drew a worker cat tapping a blast furnace. I like how it turned out and might use this as a drawing for a painting.

"The 10 Commandments" (c.1909) was published and widely used in the Socialist Sunday Schools of the early 20th century. Today's #inktober is a cat version with mostly the original text. #sundayschool

The main body of text is the 10 commandments some of which are 1. Love your schoolfellows, they will become your fellow workers and companions in life. 2. Love learning, which is the food of the mind; be as grateful to your teacher as to your parents. 3. Make every day holy by good and useful deeds and kindly actions. 4. Honour good people, be courteous and respect all, bow down to none (etc.). At the bottom is a "declaration" which reads, "We desire to be just and loving to all our fellow men and women, to work together as brothers and sisters, to be kind to every living creature, and so help to form a New Society, with Justice as its foundation and Love its law."

Gas Attack Casualties for #inktober today with the prompt "ragged." #inktober2025
