Ari and Sky are in the tent together, and it's late at night. They're entwined in each other's arms. Sky: So, was it as good as you remembered? Ari: Better. I think I'm laying on a book, though. He hands a small book to Sky. Sky: Ah, that would be my journal. give it here, I'll record the moment. Ari leans against his chest while Sky opens the book. Ari: Your scars... you got them in battle? Sky: These are from when I took Westmark, the first territory I conquered. Ari: And now you're a prince. Why aren't you a king again? Sky: No one can just become king in the Bladelands. You remember that, don't you? Ari: You have to catch a unicorn first, right? Sky looks prod of him. Sky: That's right! You kill a unicorn and get anointed in its blood. It's been near impossible for generations, which is why there weren't any kings for me to kill. Just princes and great lords. Ari sits up slightly. Ari: ...You killed people? Sky: Augh, Ari, don't be a child. It's years ago. The boys are young, maybe 15 or 16. They're in a scouting tent, wearing scout uniforms and embracing each other. Ari: heh heh heh Sky: Shh! Shut up! Ari: You shut up! They kiss, and tumble back into sky's sleeping back. Ari: Pfft! Sky: Seriously, we have to be quiet! After, Sky falls asleep. Ari looks down at him with all the love in the world. We then see Sky as he is now, 27 and with battle scars. He's asleep, though. And he looks just as peaceful. Ari gets up before dawn and throws some random clothes on. He grabs his green hoodie from the real world. Ari (VO): I still don't know why I did it. He looks back to where Sky is sleeping. He takes the book and walks outside with it. Ari: Maybe I wanted to feel close to him.
