It wasn't just these guys - it was a community who won through organising!

Life expectancy of those living by King County Airport is reduced by 8-10 years because of the pollution - the expansion would have made this even worse.

Trump has issued an Executive Order to block state laws and lawsuits that make polluters pay for the climate destruction they've caused. Congress should support those efforts, not blockinh them. Demand Congress oppose Big Oil immunity.

Seattle is facing a massive structural budget shortfall of a quarter billion. Federal cuts will deprive people of medical care, food access, and more. We NEED our elected leaders to step up take action before this fall's budget process. Tell council to vote YES -->

A reminder: 40% of all bulk shipping is simply moving fossil fuels around. Horrors like this happen constantly.

And when they don't happen, and the fuels arrive "safely", their use destroys the world we depend on.
This is horrifying and yet another reminder of why we can't abandon fossil fuels quickly enough.

The Elwha River is a triumph of restoration, with salmon returning after over a century's absence since major dam removals 12 years ago. The spill is on a tributary 1.5 miles from the river's main stem.
A fuel tanker crashed off Highway 101 on Friday and began leaking fuel into a major tributary for salmon, trout and the water supply for Port Angeles. It's a pretty devastating spill.

Today Amazon released its “Sustainability” report. Predictably, what it leaves out is vastly more important than what it says.

Amazon is building a dirty energy empire, spending literally hundreds of billions on data centers that will rely primarily on new fossil fuel infrastructure.

Last Saturday, Seattle showed up. I was proud to stand with my fellow Seattleites, and millions across the country, to peacefully register our profound dissent from the anti-democratic, cruel, and dangerous actions of the Trump administration. Now, it’s time for City leaders to do their part.
