'Imagine the intergenerational impact we could've had if psychology had taken a stand against homophobia, colonialism, and racism sooner.'

The irony of a 'healing' profession that is complicit in causing and perpetuating systemic harm.

I'm angry - but I'm learning how to make my anger useful.

Wes Streeting said it was “extremely concerning and should not have been allowed to happen” that a change of gender wipes out a trans doctor's disciplinary history.

But it simply wasn't true.

Will @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social apologise for spreading disinformation?
Confirmation from the General Medical Council (GMC) that—contrary to disinformation spread by the media and Health Secretary—when a doctor changes gender this does *not* wipe or hide their fitness to practice history.

Incidentally, my spouse is a trans doctor 🤗

Over the weekend the Government of Israel blocked all aid into Gaza, making an already dangerous situation even more desperate.

Nearly all 1.1 million children are in dire need of food and water.

We are urging the UK Government to use its power and influence to lift the blockade.

Many autistic people are queer and/or trans, and are suffering as a result of contemporary politics and withdrawal of healthcare.

Supporting autistic people entails resisting against attacks on LGBTQ+ people.
It's the last day of LGBT+ History Month! Thanks to everyone who has supported our LGBT+ History Month campaign, as well as the Equality Network and Scottish Trans as an organisation over the last 28 years. We hope you've learned something new & feel inspired to start creating change! #LGBTHM2025

If you're in the UK, autistic or not, please sign this.

Millions of autistic people have been abused and traumatized by ABA, including myself.

I haven't been in ABA since 1997 and I'm still managing the trauma today.

Today, our gentle reminder that there isn't an 'astonishing' rise in autistic people.
We've always been here.
Most of us weren't counted in the figures, before, because they were looking for the young white boys who collect trains.
They got better at finding us.
Thanks for reading.

I don't normally do client-facing work on Fridays - it gives me time to process the week's interactions. Sometimes there's a theme connecting them. Today I'm worried about the social care crisis and the impact on young autistic people who are trying so hard while support systems fail them daily.

Really feeling the conscious incompetence making this, my first post ever 😬 but, as I'm always reminding the parents I work with, learning new things usually involves some level of discomfort.

Posting this is my chosen discomfort for the day!
