As far as I know several armed factions were integrated in the armed forces in block. The same process could apply to the SDF while establishing mutually agreed milestones for a future full “individual” integration
Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler targeted the SDF and issued a threat of intervention, saying that the SDF should integrate into the Syrian army “not as a unit, but individually.”

Now that he won I can say it without guilt: I really dislike the rhetoric, it’s too forceful, too tacky, sounds like a tv commercial for beer or whatever. Could he have won without it?
