Which is the whole problem with the thought that we're missing the implications of the tech - that utility would need to be build on top of this boondoggle and still wouldn't work as well as other methods of automation. Even if an outcome serves a use, it doesn't mean that was the way to get there

Could AI be your next workplace colleague?
Image credit: Supplied In boardrooms from Dubai to Riyadh, and in HR departments across the world’s most ambitious economies, an unprecedented shift is underway. For decades, conversations about the “future of work” revolved around automation, digital transformation, and the gradual evolution of workplace technology. But according to Korn Ferry’s newly released Talent Acquisition Trends 2026 report, that future has not only arrived, it is accelerating into completely uncharted territory.

You can do a special copy and paste on a track or channel that includes all the automation and plug-in settings, but that will only work if you’ve been using a common template mix for everything else. Useful if you have common guitar or bass signal chains on an album mix, otherwise not so much.

Agreed, and amidst all the bad stuff I believe we may be entering an era of heightened appreciation for human artistry as a connection between us.

I'd love to see a Creative Commons-like opt-in designation for level of automation use/avoidance in creative work, and I'd display it myself.

Literally every human being who *does* know how these tools work is screaming at these pixels. this is the exact conflation between existing *non generative* algo models, automation, and the Large Models that are being over-invested in for the stark immaturity of the tech we rant against.
Really good example of trying to foster AI doomerism in the comments I was describing. Even IF all of that is true (it's not, but sure), I can't stand the attitude of, well, since you *must* use X that's ethically compromised, you might as well just give up on everything! Just begging for a pass

If you can't afford a business coach, all you have to do is make the time to do it yourself. Putting off that idea for another year because you just dk where to start? That excuse is dead. You start here: https://ruthnineke.co/the-more-momentum-bonus-bundle/

Pilots know this:
If you let automation do 100% of the work,
you become useless the moment something unexpected happens.

Manual practice = confidence.
Autopilot = convenience.
You need both.

12 Soft Skills Employees Need In The Future Workplace
Soft Skills In The Workplace: The Human Advantage In A Digital Era Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and data analytics are transforming the way we work, communicate, and make decisions. But amid this rapid change, one truth stands out: soft skills will be the most valuable currency of the future workplace. While machines can process information and perform repetitive tasks at scale, it's the human qualities such as empathy, adaptability, creativity, and communication that drive innovation and connection.

I've yet to see evidence these attacks are anything but teams that suck at automation outsourcing their work

It has a nice bit of automation once you unlock logistics, so I have miners+harvesters gathering resources, drones flying out to collect what's produced, and autocrafters turning those resources into more useful material to work toward complete terraformation while I get to do more relaxing stuff.

Innovation and automation have been around for centuries and have made us more efficient and that's a good thing. Robots doing the work of humans is about creating more commercial opportunities for venture backed startups like Andruil making founders and VCs wealthy.

It's early days... They just need to reconfigure work tasks to make them more susceptible to automation.
Despite industry leaders promising that agentic AI is the future, taking care of virtually all human tasks within the next few years

#CarnegieMellonUniversity researchers just released a paper showing that even the best–performing AI agents fail to complete real-world office tasks 70% of the time
"They’d basically talked themselves to death."

All the world wanted (and needs!) is reliable automation of dumb busywork, but all we got is unpredictable production of words and the devaluation of work, knowledge and ability
November 16, 2025 at 10:18 AM
Nobody expects to find work immediately, I agree that is not a reasonable expectation. What is new is the use of automation to flood the market with fake jobs which do not exist, and the continued use of debunked pseudoscience. Would it be acceptable if I used an Ouija board in your hiring process?
November 16, 2025 at 8:30 AM
clearly insane, but curious to see AI making accountants & white collar workers obsolete, so we'll all… become manly steel smelters?

we have no collective positive vision of what mass employment could look like, given factory automation

needs creative hopeful imagination

Yup

Tech workers go through a work cycle of becoming overburdened and over tasked until nonfunctional and are expected to just make it work somehow

Automation is key

But shortcuts get shit results

AI is a shortcut that makes it possible to be mediocre at all the over-tasks

But everything is meh

Also, the poor work conditions and massive amounts of automation were interesting. The deep faking was more than a prescient commentary on our near future.
