#tr-49
I've been saying TR-49 took 9 months to make - while this is basically true (we began after Expelled when live), turns out the first code was actually 11 months ago. It's here:

... and it's the basic ink for creating a text-indexed database. TR-49 grew out of this.
A bare-bones implementation of the ink for a "database" style game.

I'm so grateful to be a part of @inkle.co's incredible TR-49, and even moreso that the efforts of @rmcloughlin.bsky.social, @paulwarren.bsky.social, and myself, are being so warmly received. Not to mention, of course, the stellar work of the in-game authors'-narrations. What a special game.

My literal favourite thing about running a small studio: we can make things better overnight.

- If you found the TR-49 screen uncomfortable to read / focus-on, try the new Reduce Glitches setting; it's significantly crisper / easier to read.

- And if you hate helpful games, try Reduce Hints mode.
⚠️ TR-49 -- CALIBRATION REVISION ⚠️

The TR-49 computer appears to have changed. We found two two new switches in Settings.

1) REDUCE GLITCHES: Reduces text animation for more comfortable reading

2) REDUCE HINTS: Deductive mode for self-directed play

See attached. Thank you for your observations.

TR-49 is really good, and you're wise not to "just have a look at it for a few minutes" as I did on the day I finished it

TR-49 was a fun time! great sign when I think I will split up game sessions over a week, and then I just play it all in one sitting. few bits of clunk imo (radio bits can drag on sometimes), but it scratched a deduction-narrative itch. love me a good inkle mystery :)

I finished TR-49 btw and that game was fantastic. I'm now so ready for Incident at Galley House coming this year and my fingers are crossed that at least one of Sam Barlow's Projects will come out too!

A completely tertiary note, but it looks like Tolkien's name is misspelled in the credits, but spelled correctly on the page itself.

Well, I reached an ending of TR-49, definitely going to do my best to crack the others. A great experience, Inkle's done it again.

I am saving TR-49 for the weekend but the temptation is huuuuge

my favourite mechanic in TR-49 is failing upwards because of a typo lmao

The entirety of TR-49 takes place from a first-person perspective as you sit in front of a kind of Steampunk-infused computer terminal. #InteractiveFiction #Inkle

Dense narrative deduction game tells a compellingly academia-tinged sci-fi tale.

Tegnap csak belenéztem, ma beleugrott majd' három óra a TR-49-be és csak a szokásos elképesztő inkle minőség.
Ami külön vicces: a játék egyetlen képernyőből áll, ebből és a mostanában elég népszerű nyomozó játékmenetből raktak össze valami lebilincselően fantasztikusat!
