I finished TR-49 btw and that game was fantastic. I'm now so ready for Incident at Galley House coming this year and my fingers are crossed that at least one of Sam Barlow's Projects will come out too!

How do people feel about dice pool ttrpgs that require specifically colored dice? Some examples are Daggerheart, Coyote and Crow, or Alien RPG?
RPG books are expensive and it feels bad to me to require additional non-standard dice to play. Those dice often run an extra $20 to $30.

I want to find all of UFO 50's secrets without a walkthrough but man, some of these are obscure. Doesn't help I played most of these games at launch and can't remember which games the riddles go to anymore lol.

UFO 50's Golfaria has some of the most infuriating design I've ever seen. I've had to restart the last boss multiple times due to getting softlocked in respawns that immediately drop me down a pit. Now a mosquito followed me across the whole area and there's nothing I can do to stop it.

TR-49 is really cool once it gets out of its own way. The first half hour though is just endless prattle and hand-holding when all I want is to explore the machine on my own terms. Once it stops telling you what to click on though, it's every bit the game Her Story was.

It's wild to me that there are people already leaving RT ratings for Starfleet Academy. It's had 2 episodes.

So this information I found has definitely been out there but a lot of the mainstream avenues of research people use have been completely wrong. I'm planning to make a video but also I'm going to do a complete overhaul to a Wikipedia page that has spread misleading info.
Every so often, someone finds a lost game and releases it for the world to see.
I don't know any stories offhand about folks doing the opposite. I may have stumbled across a game that is known to exist but actually doesn't.

Starfleet Academy is definitely a step in the right direction. More than anything else, I hoped for something that didn't just shit on the legacy of Star Trek like Discovery and Picard did and it delivers so far. The optimism is back for sure.

A note to new players though who may not know and may be on a budget, you only NEED the Keeper Rulebook to play. So if the $10 makes a difference, the second tier is good

Tomb Raider S2 had a ROUGH intro but once it really gets in the shit, the concept is really, really cool. It took 2-3 episodes but man, the concept works on a literal and thematic level really well. I hope it sticks the landing!

I just spent all day with The Crimson Diamond and I haven't done that with a game in a while. I was so invested in the game that I completely lost track of time.

This year's AGDQ was a ton of fun. I loved how they leaned into the theatrical speed runs. The ACE Wind Waker showcase, the American Truck Sim race in full character, and that amazing 70 person Mario 64 relay... It was just so fun to watch. And the chat was uplifting to see.

I don't know why folks are waiting for Starfleet Academy next week. Im watching it right now! Gotta say, I expected the effects to be a bit better but it's so cool they got Shatner and Takei to come back for it!

I've been reading the Fourth Wing series and have to say, I've never read a dragon rider series that is so uninterested in having dragons in it. The dragons are almost never around as Violet blunders her way into yet another incredibly obvious trap.

I don't understand why Jonathan Blow insists on insulting the industry prior to releasing anything. Especially about things he clearly knows nothing about. The genre has literally never been more innovative than it has in the last 5 years.
