Match result hurt a bit. Section vibes were excellent.

As a collective, we've decided that if we can’t win, we will thirst, meme, and aesthetic our way through the pain.

Right. One point, late equaliser conceded, heads gone but we're still taking notes. Lewis O’Brien and his goofy little dance at 52.4% takes the WTSMOTM win without question. That’s not just Man of the Match energy, that’s emotional coping mechanism. When the football betrays you at the death, you cling to vibes, and LOB delivered them in brilliant neon. The dance didn’t save the rest of the points, but it clearly saved the Section. "Kieffer’s Curly Locks / Kieffer’s Perm / Moore’s Perm" at 14.3% is doing important work here. This is classic late-draw psychology: when structure collapses, you look for order elsewhere. Hair has texture. Hair has bounce. Hair does not switch off at the back post in the 89th minute. Comfort blanket stuff. Matty James on 9.5% is the sober uncle in the corner nursing a pint. This is the "someone had to keep the lights on" vote. No goofy dance, no bouncy curls, just competence and quiet appreciation. The meme-and-miscellaneous bloc (all 4.8%) LOB’s sick dance moves (separate from the main LOB dance vote, which is incredible) Callum Doyle Libby Cacace Ben Sheaf Sam Smith That’s five equal slices of "I saw something so had to say something." These are nod votes. They’re not wrong, they’re just solitary. Late equaliser fatigue manifesting as democracy. A draw that feels like a loss usually produces anger. This produced interpretive dance discourse, which frankly says a lot about where the Section is right now. Still believing. Still joking. Still staring lovingly at a midfielder doing something deeply unserious.

The pose That half-shimmy, half-boxer bounce is doing so much heavy lifting. It’s not a choreographed celebration, it’s instinctive joy leaking out of the body. Arms tucked in, shoulders loose, knees bent like he’s catching a rhythm only he can hear. That’s authenticity. That’s a "I’m not even aware cameras exist" vibe. 2. The face Big grin. Slight squint. The expression of a man who knows he’s played well and who's having a ridiculous amount of fun in that moment. Nobody can take that away, even if two points were cruelly stolen later. This is pre-equaliser innocence, frozen in time. Powerful stuff. 3. The context clues Rain in the air, lights blazing, crowd blurred into a glowing wall of noise. Teammates drifting in the background like the proudest of witnesses. The pitch looking unreal, almost too green, like it’s been created specifically for this moment. It screams "night game energy". Proper football. None of that sterile afternoon nonsense.
