i’m out of the habit of getting poems onto the page but i’ve been thinking all morning about alysa liu’s gorgeous short skate and climate grief and what it means to be in the dazzling 2nd act of your life at 20, in a craft that gives you so little time, in a world that doesn’t seem able to hold it.

As a threadbare defence, I don't think I've actually heard an official police statement even to confirm the arrest (possibly because any such statement would be completely superfluous with all the wall-to-wall coverage).

It's a point of indulgence watching it stretch out and get more distorted and threadbare thin as she continously forces it over her ever-growing tits month after month~

Gender affirming care is destroying your old shirts through the sheer size of your new HRTitties~

Relatable. It's why I just stick with the threadbare stuff. 🙃

Libraries have the most shockingly threadbare security, they don’t even seem to care if you use your real name. I would genuinely believe any librarian would give a library card to a dog. This is good!!
Leavitt: "You need an ID to go and purchase alcohol. You need an ID to go to the library and check out a book. So the president thinks you should have an ID to vote in our nation's elections."

today was a lot and I am feeling very small, vulnerable, and threadbare.

I keep asking myself, "why do I have to be the brave one? Why do I have to seek to change the system?"

And then I think of all the daughters my friends have, and how I want them to be believed.

So I will endure for them.

A lot of the routes are pre-run and even then Waymos freezing up is a common occurance. Again: it's shonky machine vision & poor capacity to see *anything* reliably. Not signs, not temporary roadworks. It’s the same as everything else: hot air and operating in a country with threadbare regulations.

The architecture + interior is not new, but it's looked after. This might sound be an odd observation but at Hamilton City Council, there are holes in the carpet in the foyer to the chamber, that are a so threadbare they're a tripping hazard. Because upkeep has become easy political point scoring

Not a chance. As we saw in Wales people will vote tactically to keep reform out. The media narrative is already looking threadbare, especially since the indications are that there will be significant economic improvement from April on.

that is an utterly reflexive and threadbare anti-state anti-public argument. art doesn't work that way, it doesn't speak out of one side of its mouth; even ostensible propaganda images are conflictual and invite all kinds of critical imagining. just look at the current regime's aesthetics.

Being at the theatre this morning, where everything is factual, reminded me of this one hit wonder, threadbare denim wearing, former blues cover band from Yorkshire. 😉

Crime 101: It so desperately wants to be Heat, and that's no bad thing to aspire to. Slick, stylish and packed with incredible actors. There are a couple of decent chase scenes too. But the core heist story is kind of threadbare so it ends up feeling a bit hollow. Still pretty decent.

Instead of amplifying liberal party’s threadbare trope re govt spending being too high @patskarvelas.bsky.social, how about investigating why companies would rather shovel out excessive shareholder dividends, & buy back shares, than increase expenditure on modernisation, diversification & expansion

Think about it like this: When you sit down in front of Antman Vs The Wasp you already know what you are going to get. Godzilla Vs King Kong. Plots so truly threadbare and devoid of new ideas that the climactic scene *is* the name of the movie.
