Had a really interesting tour of Stratford College's new Heating and Ventilating Academy Workshop. We were introduced to the facilities and the need for such a training centre by Professor Mike Leonard from Birmingham City University's Centre for Future Homes. Local training for a future workforce!

The “Shakespeare” Writer”?
Image - Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford Continued research seems to be confirming the claim by the Oxfordians that Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford—not Gulielmus Shakspere of Stratford-upon-Avon as insisted by the Stratfordians—wrote the canon of plays and poems left by the pseudonymous "William Shakespeare." Who Is the Authentic "Shakespeare" Writer"? The mystery regarding the true identity of the writer traditionally known as "William Shakespeare" actually began in Elizabethan England, during the period in which most of the likely candidates for the position lived and wrote.

Not long ago I had an elderly lady in Stratford upon Avon tell me she was born in Rhodesia (I asked because of her accent).
She was absolutely furious when I pointed out it was South Rhodesia and a British colony then.
I assume she didn't move to South Africa for racist reasons.

Sharpen them! Secateurs are usually pretty easy to sharpen, and if you're not sure how see if there's a local #RepairCafe as they often have a sharpener (I am that person in Stratford-upon-Avon and Loughborough!).

If you are set a new pair, the gold standard is Felco. But try before you buy to...
