Re: my last repost, I think fantasy with a majority or entirely nonhuman species, especially original or nonhumanoids, is due for a resurgence.
not only has human centric been the way for too long, but the more original elements a story has the less likely it is an AI wrote it.

the problem with feral/nonhumanoids is that it's not as easy to see, i mean it is... but it's different. not quite as exciting xD

It represents a plane Ive wanted for awhile with nonhumanoids as the main characters. You'd think in a billion planes we'd have more like this but!

also i didnt count voyager in female cast bc if i dont include demihumans, might as well do the same to her.
now with gender ONLY, it's 1:3. no wonder why male characters issue didnt seem that bad to me lol bc i see nonhumanoids the same as human ones.

nonhumanoids, alone by themselves, almost have 1:3 ratio with the female cast (those that look entirely human). same rules applied.
female and male cast ratio is 1:4.
note that, this is based on mostly design aspect with a bit of lore knowledge involved. onion is counted in the female cast.

It occurs to you that probably need to be fairly bright to fight the way she does, tbh. The fact that she was able to instantly adapt her bladework on the fly with all those fancy Battle Master maneuvers against nonhumanoids with a casual disregard for physics says something.

Although nonhumanoids would normally be exempt from the parameters of this thread, FF14 treats dragons as full people, and we know Niddhogg fucks since we not only battle his teeming progeny but battle his mate Tioman before we do battle with him.
