I’m at my local bar and two guys sitting next to each other just realized they know each other because one of them has set multiple of the other’s bones. The one guy logged onto mychart and they read the notes written by the other guy.

they text me to tell my baby to log in to register for amazon one (the palm scanners) promising to be even more efficient

i type my baby’s name into the screen and then go thru a list of yes/no questions. it takes forever (about 90 seconds). let’s put my baby’s palm prints into a machine instead!

An excellent video!
So here's a crazy idea. After the initial diagnosis (e.g., immediately following that first trip to the ED or PCP), the "you've got new test results" MyChart email includes a link to the video. The subsequent follow-up precheck-in emails then contain a "viewed it" check box.

Why does every single health record and/or medical app just suck ass except MyChart?

Funny story: four years ago on Thanksgiving, I found out from MyChart that my bladder ‘fronds’ weren’t benign, cried, kicked cancer’s arse, and have had regular screenings tests since (high rates recurrence are a bitch). Cyto usually comes back in 5-7 days. It’s been 12 days, so I called. 1/?

Idk, she really dropped the ball with this. I put in for a refill a couple days before I needed them. 2 days later she sent a message in MyChart asking if I wanted same strength, and said I was due for a refill in a couple weeks. I responded and haven't heard back and never got a refill.

My endo doc keeps failing to actually diagnose & treat accordingly, & thanks to mychart & a heaping dose of medical misogyny, my medical records now read like I ate myself into primary amenorrhea & have periods now, & I have PCOS pathol (nope, tvu) & all the real odd stuff I have he's forgotten.

2/n We made it clear that Mom was not seeking advice etc. for heart murmur. No pain, no shortness of breath. She is at home with help. She is still engaged w/ people + reading her books on Buddhism. So today, she got a MyChart msg (which she never sees & it would confuse the hell out of her) 2/n

If you’re a healthcare professional, then you’ve heard of Epic.

The largest electronic health records company in the US, is pushing users of MyChart to sign away their rights to sue the company if it mishandles their sensitive information, AGAIN.

free study idea! i’ve found myself avoiding the mychart app this year because it immediately showers me with notices about my medical debt, including when i try to schedule appointments. can’t help but wonder whether this is adversely affecting care and/or outcomes for vulnerable patients

basically students should impress upon patients that under our present corporate dictators, mychart is an awesome tool that helps with a ton of different things but they should imagine you responding while fleeing an angry hive of bees and eating lunch because they don’t give you bee time either

Once I realized my Lowe back was hurting for no reason I said “oh something’s wrong”

Why I’m halfway through my Mychart message to the nurse before I remember what I DID TO MYSELF?

Wait. What

MyChart is selling our data and now we can’t do anything about it?

These people are why we can’t have nice things
