Book 16: Abhorsen (Abhorsen 3) by Garth Nix. This is an excellent fantasy series about necromancers with some great characters. I loved the descriptions of the gates of the underworld in this book, and how the protagonist, Lirael, really came into her own and how we got to know Mogget a bit better.

My baby girl (of 19 years) crossed the rainbow bridge today. 🌈 She had almost completely lost kidney function, and the complications were tanking her quality of life. I would never have been ready, but she was, and she went with grace. As always. My Mogget. 💔

Oh we LOVE Mogget in this house. Lirael is one of the best written characters I’ve ever seen, too. I sort of wish she’d ended up as canonically asexual… :(
