Our Game of Thrones rewatch has reached the notoriously dark (as in under lit) ep. ‘The Long Night’. @suzyj.net wants to play with contrast settings so we’ll be able to discern stuff onscreen, which is fine, but she’d better return to original settings afterwards lest we be blinded by the next show

One of the finest moments in my life was hitting send on an email reply to my uni asking me to "show cause" for staying enrolled in my PhD after 8 years that said (paraphrased) "actually, I've been wanting an out for several years now, so thanks, and I have no cause."
