Pub 3250, Johnson Arms, Lenton, Nottingham. Best so far! Nearly got NHS discount. Stinks of 6% ale. Lanyard wearing students try to be amusing. Cosy. Fact carpet is a 5 doesn't matter. Oligo Bunk drinks well.

Every season has its joys and its challenges. All types of weather can be seen as "good" or "bad" depending on how you look at it. How are you finding this winter? What season is your life in at the moment? Can you find some "good" or some "beauty" to celebrate where you are now?

Ok. Claiming science on tipping points is Rahmstorf theorising is just unserious. At least say Lenton, if you want to argue like that.

But of course there are many scientists working on tipping points, as the McKay paper clearly shows.

Love loved loved @mamoru-iriguchi.bsky.social #SIZEMATTERS at the Citz last night. Thank you SO much Matthew Lenton for curating this brilliant creative piece as part of #VanishingPoint‘s Winter Residency. Genius theatre. Hilarious and profound. ✨✨✨✨✨👏👏👏👏👏

Finally finished my move out of Lenton.

I'll miss being walking distance to Warhammer World, Everything else about that spot of Nottingham can do one.

Still quite the hill of bags and stuff to unpack, didn't help my car battery died today and I'd given back the keys already for the flat.

Wow, a longread, and text-only, without maths hyroglyphs. Gotta look up if Kemp & Lenton made progress, esp. in the proposed investigation into social cascading. IMO, we can't afford a destabilizing South & SE-Asia. Their workers are existential to all our rich nations' functions and order.

It's a Tim Lenton factoid btw. At the moment we're not really seeing climate migrants, and trends in death due to extreme weather is dropping. But, the changes in the future will be non-linear, and old people are far more vulnerable and are less able to move. So these trends aren't that predictive.

Proud to be a neurodiversity-affirming coach, so I'm happy to say I've completed this autism coach certification today. I look forward to being able to walk alongside more fellow autistic adults and help them to be proudly and authentically themselves.

Mindfulness isn't just about breathing exercises. We can use our senses mindfully, such as looking at and admiring the details in art. Rather than analysing the work, we can lose ourselves in exploring it and observing with wonder, not judging, just really seeing.
