I agree. It is possible that a basic income for everyone will need to be discussed due to automatization, but demanding it for science specifically a) has no chance and b) will create the impression that we don't work.

(Switzerland had a vote on basic income a few years ago, but the initiators

Can't say I'm very good at it but so many of you are so terrible at writing alt text, I wonder, against my general stance on automatization of meaningful labor, if it would be better to automatize that function. From no alt text to one-word non-descriptions to complete lack of context.. it's dismal.

another datapoint for the “AI’s main use case is the automatization of passive income via slop plagiarism” hypothesis

Duh!🤷‍♂️
Let them bash their stupid head over machine slop more. And maybe... MAYBE they will finally realize that creativity ISN'T the sphere for automatization.

I am sorry, but I can't find fault with automatization of these jobs. We need to fix this from a different angle - one that distributes productivity ...

Which programming stack, out of curiosity? Web design, backend, data, automatization, or sth else?

This should appear each time when someone puts new things in Mods folder 😅 like this automatization 😅 maybe at some point people would remember and learn :)

We live, sleep and eat in the starship, but we don't understand anything about the way it works: what is quantum automatization ?

Morning!

This comment to an instagram post with the question:
“What is something in your life that you’ve AUTOMATED, that completely changed your life. I’m not talking about “my bills are on autopay”, I mean truly unhinged automatization”.

😂

How’s that for motivation?

This makes me incredibly sad.

Indeed I'm sick of the alghorytm of X. No growing, Always banned and now tagged as NSFW all my stuff due of AI automatization...no fair 🤣

fun.
Have you thought about some automatization tool for it?
August 18, 2025 at 9:15 AM
This is all a bit beyond me. Isn't "a form of automatism that parodies the world of automatization" functionally achieving the same harms? Like people who advocate using AI to defeat AI by giving it "garbage" prompts. You're still engaging with it and activating the process.

fucking automatization

IMO, the S-60 needs programmable ammunition like the one used in Gepard and Skynex, and automatization/motorized control; if controlled by a radar system, it would be very useful, due to the much higher payload of the shell.

Is this some sort of limitation Decima has?

Could they not afford the engineering cost of integrating a more robust vehicle system?

Is this just a choice in favor of a certain game feel?

Is it making a point on how the automatization of travel doesn't replace the joy & artisanship of walking?

Things I repeat a lot: Automatization does not need to solve 100% of a job to kill it. Its enough to solve the _easiest_ (say) 40% of it, making it much less profitable in terms of $ earned /cognitive effort.

But… people really underestimate the amount of open source maintenance that is not hard problems."

Interesting data about metro automatization in this article about Paris Line 13, a 15 mile line with 32 stations.

€837m (2021€) project will take 10 yrs because of decision not to close it during construction. Will include platform doors at 19 stations. Expected to save €14m/yr in operating costs.

You can trace a parallel to QAnon, incels, etc, to describe this as the automatization/reification of a social mode where online communication facilitates immersive epistemic bubbles that enhance the power of bizarre conspiracy worldviews.
