I appreciate grandma's help but bookshelves aren't high priority for me right now and I can tell it's my dad fixating on this as his new cause and mom just stepping back and letting it happen. I'm also trying to take as little money from them and extended relatives as possible, we're all poor.

My grandma gave me a $500 check for Christmas to buy new bookshelves and now my parents have made it an albatross for me, texting every day telling me what to do. Yesterday it was hire a woodworking guy they know to make the shelves. Today it's look at Raymour & Flanigan to get them delivered.

A couple months ago I went through a political cartoon archive looking for that "Dying for Bush's oil profits!" cartoon they used to post around Something Awful and what I found was there are cartoons going back to at least George W. Bush about the US wanting to invade Venezuela for oil.

Got my flu and COVID vaccines. Did surprisingly well. Felt very bad when my niece got scared at the last second and started crying.
