Amazingly, it is expensive because we subsidize cars, not rails. If driving had to pay the full cost of its road surface and capture even 1% of the externalized pollution, or if we just equalized the subsidies, the bus would stop being an option.

The other major flaw of IRA it was all about commercialization when people wanted affordability. One way to used Evs on the road and target people with lower credit scores Lower the interest rate. Could save them a lot. More sustainable way to subsidize EVs. Also negates people like Pierre.

Maybe we should all write to the IRS to tell them we're unsubscribing and why, like I did when I cancelled DirecTV after Jan. 6 because they were forcing me to subsidize Fox News in order to get the channels I wanted.
