#SCOTUS⁉️
Republicans feel way too comfortable using SCOTUS like a brat runs to their wealthy daddy.
🚨BREAKING: After a New York court struck down the state’s current 11th Congressional District for diluting the voting power of Black and Latino residents, U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.) asked the U.S. Supreme Court Thursday to freeze the decision. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
GOPer asks SCOTUS to restore her district after court found it discriminated against minority voters
The stakes extend beyond Staten Island and Brooklyn.

And you know that THIS SCOTUS will reverse the decision
February 12, 2026 at 11:37 PM
Yes. Which is why this should get struck down by SCOTUS in the inevitable lawsuit...but since they're corrupt AF don't see that happening.

That should be GOP/SCOTUS/NRA sponsored school massacres.
My thoughts are with our Canadian neighbors. School shootings are some of the worst moments in human history.

These GOP/SCOTUS bastards don't care how many people they kill. They will shit in their own stew pot for profit and to molest young girls/boys.
Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change—all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

Seriously? So SCOTUS sealing the files shouldn't have stopped them? The active investigations that they knew about, and the Trump DOJ later stopped, shouldn't have stopped them either? Maybe stick to something you actually know instead of pretending to understand criminal investigations?

3. Super-rich like Musk who want to change/control everything.
(All supported by the Citizens United SCOTUS decision allowing unlimited dark money into elections.)

Listen carefully,
Donald Trump does not Care.
The real problem are the Trump Supporters,

1.The Trump 77 million American Voters,
2.The Christian Fundamentalists, anti-abortionalists, anti-gays,
3.The billionaires for tax cuts,
4.The "SCOTUS",
5.The Republican House & Senate.

THEY don't CARE.

Surely this is illegal? WTAF?
I wonder if the Vegas oddsmakers are indicating SCOTUS will bend the knee?
cool, cool. so we are sort of like citizens, but not really?
February 12, 2026 at 11:23 PM
SCOTUS ever going to drop that tariff ruling?

it’s like abortion, in that there needs to be a law. after scotus eliminated “chevron deference,” every “major” agency finding (like every constitutional “right”) is now subject to their whim

It looks like Republicans are taking the case challenging New York’s congressional map on state-law vote dilution grounds to SCOTUS on the shadow docket.

Senate Dems should have done this for Emil Bove’s circuit court nom, though.

A SCOTUS seat is such a a big deal R’s can afford to make it the only business of the chamber for a month.

put differently: denying UC completely can make single noms take a full dedicated month

Jeb Bush was Governor of Florida then & you know darn well all those Millionaire Billionaires had him & GWBush on speed dial about what the Feds Doj were doing about Epstein & Maxwell should it blow back on them the GOP SCOTUS Lobbyists & International RELATIONSHIPS
February 12, 2026 at 11:13 PM
Deleted this post because Senate Dems denied unanimous consent completely during Amy Barrett’s confirmation, and R’s just used majority votes for every procedural step.

If R‘s will go all in to get everyone there for four weeks to get a SCOTUS nom confirmed, not much D’s can do procedurally.

Doubtful if SCOTUS will. I think Major questions doctrine will win from precedent.
February 12, 2026 at 11:10 PM
Really feels like maybe there should be some sort of recourse for a fully corrupt SCOTUS majority. Relying on congress, without even considering a corrupt majority party, has clearly failed miserably.

Dog help us all, we're still at the beginning of this hellscape era

W a Complicit SCOTUS, watching Democracy Die was never on my agenda!

Didn’t SCOTUS already undercut the EPA and every other agency’s ability to perform their mandates?

It’ll be up to the states now, with California & NY setting the standards. Just like for health info.

This is why so many of us screamed so loud a warning when he first ran. We knew that losing SCOTUS would be a lot more than just about abortion rights. But we were told to stop overreacting.
February 12, 2026 at 11:04 PM
We dare to dream...the impossible dream.

But it's fun to imagine newly minted Chairmen Dick Durbin telling Chief Justice Roberts to appear before the Judiciary Committee to discuss ethics in the SCOTUS with the backing of plausible removal votes.
