Made a small adapter out of perspex and superglue for work. It sped up my job immensely, but now my joints are killing me through overwork. Can't bloody win, some days.

@99thredballoon.bsky.social I meant to send you this pic when we were talking about the kitsch museum.
It’s a Vlad the Impaler pyramid snow globe paperweight pen holder!
It sits on my desk at work. The kids like it 😁

Of course. Then attach it to the wall in a clear perspex frame, never to be used.

When he's gone, the next incumbent should borrow an idea from the Paramount bar in Aberdeen and have Trump's portrait installed behind perspex in the White House gents' urinals.

Just needs glass and a dark box for V2.
Scratchy perspex and white corflute isn't ideal, but it was a quick whimsy build.

Rian Johnson says the colored glass shots in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ were practical: “We’d line up the shot and then I would just put the perspex against the camera… then we’d tape it to the matte box”

Halifaxes were a key part of the RAF’s Special Duties units. This aircraft of 148 (SD) Squadron at Brindisi, Italy, is being loaded with airdrop canisters for the Yugoslav National Liberation Army. Further supplies could be dropped from a hatch in the rear fuselage.

The Halifax B. Mk III combined all of the previous design improvements with Hercules radial engines, resulting in an aircraft with comparable performance to the Lancaster. Pictured in September 1944, this aircraft of 462 Sqn RAAF was lost in a collision the following month.

To reduce weight, nose turrets were progressively removed, initially replaced with a metal fairing before a Perspex nose was developed. This is a 76 Squadron aircraft in April 1943. Halifaxes could carry 13,000lb of bombs in the main bay and six wing cells.

London's South Bank is always sparkly at this time of year, but it's especially shiny at the moment due to their Winter Light trail. (It's on until mid-January, if you need Merryneum cheering-up.)
