It has come to my attention that "Wuthering Heights" is an anagram of "The Shit Wig Hunger".

Or possibly a rare variety of Yorkshire-native citrus fruit.

Oh dear, I've just realized that you're going to have to watch several eps of Heroes from the stupid Circus era.

I'm Earnie Lintcliff and that banging outside your window at night is me, dressed up as a giant moth with wings made of Yorkshire pudding.
Get your Wuthering Heights name by calling yourself some combination of Earnshaw, Linton, Heathcliff and Catherine, and then immediately dying of TB

after 1 min: ugh this is dull
10 min: spin on that stone is off
30 mins: three in the house means nothing if your centre guard is ripe for a pick and roll
1 hour: SWEEP BITCH SWEEP

I've been looking into this, and basically, yes! The ISU picks a theme for the "rhythm dance" (ice dance short program) every season, and this season's is "Music of the 90s". There's a list of previous themes here: www.ice-dance.com/site/u-s-ice...

Catching up with the #WinterOlympics ice dancing and am delighted that there's an element officially called synchronized twizzles and everyone has to do it. ALL MUST TWIZZLE. IT IS THE LAW.

A reminder, if needed, that Anne Bronte's novels are really good and with a refreshingly dim view of abusive men. Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall both piss all over Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, if you ask me (an intellectual).
...which seems as good an excuse as any to remind you of (or alert you to) this excellent cartoon by @katebeaton.bsky.social:

Still on the fence about #StarfleetAcademy – there are good bits, there are meh bits – but predictably this week's ❤️DS9❤️ homagery got me in the feels. I would run and rewatch DS9 immediately if I hadn't done exactly that about three months ago.

Went to the London Transport Museum on Sunday to see their Art Deco poster exhibition. Lots of cool graphics and typography on show, but this one may be my favourite, if only because the concept of using the smell of London (and the Underground in particular) as a selling point is a mind-boggler.

Unless they had a full copy of Marco Polo on Epstein Island, I don't think you were going to be in the frame.

How about animal-y things? London Zoo? London Aquarium?

Yes, bowling is a good shout too (although let's face it, quite an American thing to be doing in London) - maybe one of the branches of All Star Lanes?

Blimey, that's a toughie. How about one of those activity bars, like crazy golf, darts, axe-throwing... there are probably others I've forgotten. Or escape rooms?

All Danish pastries/Viennoiserie/sweet croissanty things. Don’t know why, my brain and tastebuds simply rebel. (Savoury flaky pastry things are fine. Great, even.)
Guys, I really need to talk about something dumb and meaningless. What's a universally beloved sweet treat that you think is just mid? For me, it's meringue.

In the interests of keeping veg fresh without using cling film or similar single-use rubbish, I got some reusable silicon food covers from IKEA. This one makes me giggle whenever I open the fridge.
