Went to the London Transport Museum on Sunday to see their Art Deco poster exhibition. Lots of cool graphics and typography on show, but this one may be my favourite, if only because the concept of using the smell of London (and the Underground in particular) as a selling point is a mind-boggler.

All Danish pastries/Viennoiserie/sweet croissanty things. Don’t know why, my brain and tastebuds simply rebel. (Savoury flaky pastry things are fine. Great, even.)
Guys, I really need to talk about something dumb and meaningless. What's a universally beloved sweet treat that you think is just mid? For me, it's meringue.

In the interests of keeping veg fresh without using cling film or similar single-use rubbish, I got some reusable silicon food covers from IKEA. This one makes me giggle whenever I open the fridge.

Went to the #Vibrance light festival in the City of London this evening, the best bit of which* was the son-et-lumière show at the Guildhall. It's on tomorrow night as well and is free (yay).

*By a massive distance. Do not bother with the rest of it.

Enjoyed the Winter Lights festival at Canary Wharf last night, which was pleasingly sparkly and annoying hard to photograph. It's free and on until 31 January if you can stand the rain.

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

Ooh, it's all kicking off on #TheNightManager this week. (Tonight's episode is already available on iPlayer, innit.)

Extra kudos to the wardrobe department for letting Hiddleston wear the world's flimsiest white shirt in a very sweaty part of the world. It's basically become a self-Darcying shirt.

It sticks out its little arms and earnestly sprinkles sand over itself 🦑𓂃◌𓈒𓐍
