6 million.
Dollars?
No.
Humans.
What about 6,000,000 humans?
Dead ones.
6,000,000 dead humans?!
Yes.
Is this some kind of a joke?
NO!!

PS. The humans were Jewish civilians.

PPS. The Holocaust took place in the 1940s.

PPPS. Do NOT let this ever happen again!!!

Ireland survey shows 50% of adults unaware of Holocaust, some calling it ‘a myth’
A survey commissioned by the Claims Conference finds that about half of Irish adults do not know six million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, while nearly one in 12 people aged 18–29 believe it is...

Can just use Alliance type set ups if you want to involve the private sector (ie what was used with CRL), without the financial book shifting of PPPs
January 19, 2026 at 3:16 AM
I completely agree with you. PPPs seem more like accounting shenanigans that make lawyers and consultants rich. At the moment *no one* in New Zealand can deliver infrastructure cheaply (a problem it seems to share with the entire Anglosphere).

Transmission Gully isn't exactly a ringing endorsement that PPPs can deliver big infrastructure projects any more efficiently than the government run projects can.

The last section of the article is a mixed bunch. My main beef here is that it misses the obvious point that Govt can absolutely invest in infra delivered by the private sector without using dumb af public / private partnerships (simply a way for ghouls to generate a higher return on capital) [Ends]

I see! Don't get me wrong, ppps are great for big and or colorful foils and word is so much cleaner when you're translating stuff instead of pen and paper (that gets unreadable soo quickly), but what is wrong with a normal class discussion? You can still take notes while talking in person

PPPS. AND this has reminded me to return to my musical explorations sooner or later, AND given me a musical Hero idea. I suddenly really want a proper belting soul voice in the cast, & I'm happily considering the possibilities.

Damn good show, all told. 🙂

Yep. This policy was never really about reducing the so-called burden on ratepayers. It’s about establishing control over the local government sector and forcing the use of of user pays, PPPs and, in time, full privatisation.

This is good, but doesn’t mean shit if it just goes into bullshit PPPs. Housing needs to be NOT FOR PROFIT. Affordable housing is a meaningless term. PUBLIC housing would be more like it.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus, a group of nearly 100 House Democrats, will announce later today that it's formally endorsing legislation to strip $175 billion from ICE and put it toward affordable housing. www.huffpost.com/entry/doj-fe...

Yeah, she is a terrible person and didn’t do shit - just grifted her way in, leveraging hate, made bank between forgiven PPPs and a few insider trades, and she’s out as soon as stuff got spicy.

“Independent public-sector audits in…find that a public-private partnership delivery carries a material capital & lifecycle cost premium, conservatively estimated at ~26% [to] public delivery.”
