How it should be everywhere.

For contrast, in the UK, our goverment wants to feed all our hard creative graft to the giant, ravenous, plagiarising slop machine, if they haven't already, while our creative communities & organisations die on their feet. They only value the product, not the process.

I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.

And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.

Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

Klira Haiti De Luxe 544
The Klira Haiti De Luxe 544 is a Strat-style electric guitar from Germany. It's got 4 single-coil pickups and a wild range of controls. Each pickup has a sliding on/off switch above it and a roller-style volume knob below it. There's also an on/off switch for a tone circuit by the rest of the switches and something like an EQ knob in the normal control area. From what I can tell, it'll boost the bass or treble depending on which way you turn it. The guitar also has a Jaguar-style trem and a striped 6-in-line headstock.

Honestly, not surprised Cass has a paedophile connection. The way it keeps cropping up behind transphobic figures & prominent politicians, you have to wonder about their true motivations, & how deep & far the rot runs.

Given the BBC that platformed Cass also harboured Savile, pretty deep, I'd say.

Babicz Spider
Babicz Guitars was started in 2003 by Jeff Babicz, a former executive manager for Steinberger in the 80s and 90s. Now, his company makes specialized guitar bridges. They also make acoutsic guitars like this one, the Spider. It looks like a normal acoustic guitar with a single cutaway, but the real weirdness comes when you look at there the strings are attached. Instead of having them held in place with bridge pins, they go over the bridge, are held in place by a string retainer, and are attached to pegs that fan out along the bottom curve of the body. This setup (in Babicz's terms, the "Torque Reducing Split Bridge" and "Lateral Compression Soundboard") makes the guitar look really weird and sound really good. It's also got an LR Baggs piezo setup, with controls in the normal place on the side of the body.
