#PORTAPIQUE
I hear you. Portapique was really hard for me but yeah the most recent census had some really disturbing statistics.

I’m hoping maybe some of us can be heard but we continue to be tired , and frustrated , and angry.

It’s hard to be resilient sometimes.

They have learned *nothing* from Portapique, it would appear.

The Minnesota mass murder event was too reminiscent of the Portapique mass murder event, so I’ve been avoiding US news like the plague. Friggin Instagram got me with the puppy photos

Respect to Tim and the Halifax Examiner though. When I lived out east they were one of the only outlets actually covering the pathetic RCMP response to Portapique.

Still waiting to learn more about how the man who committed the Portapique mass shooting brought his weapons in from a connection in Maine. I grew up by the NB/Maine border, there is some shady shit in those woods

I just finished reading the book "22 Murders". It describes the actions of the RCMP during the Portapique murders.
What does the RCMP do in Nova Scotia?

www.cbc.ca/news/politic... - it isn't surprising that the CPC leader is ignoring the Portapique Mass Casualty Commission, but it is surprising that Darren Major and Tom Parry of CBC are ignorant of it or choosing to ignore it in their reporting.

As a child my dad built a cottage in Portapique. We stayed there every summer as he worked in Debert as a firefighter. That area you posted was like a second home to me. Very fond memories.

He might just be imitating the Nova Scotia killer from a couple of years ago. It's an extremely effective strategy. Google Portapique murders.

I can only remember they used a vehicle like this with the things that happened in Portapique. They used the one from the RCMP.

Some poking around in Wikipedia shows that Hitler, Stalin, and the Portapique killer all had abusive fathers. It's like maybe if we dealt with toxic masculinity and child abuse properly we might have a better world

Thinking about Portapique and dude with his fake RCMP cruiser. Won’t this just result in a bunch of abductions by people pretending to be ICE?

In 2020, I wrote about how Polytechnique is related to the triple femicides in Wilno and the Toronto Van Attack and the massacre in Portapique.

Mass murders committed by men, motivated by misogyny.

Yet, we learn nothing.

Portapique, 🇨🇦 April 18-19, 2020. A 51 yo committed multiple shootings and set fires on 16 locations in Nova Scotia. He killed 22 people while impersonating a federal police officer. All the equipment, clothes and police car. Exact replica. He did a carnage.

We will never forget.
