But shivam, what if I'm irreligious, atheist, or of a different tradition? Who cares, man. We all know that helping people is its own reward. You don't need to do it for god. Do it because you want to live in a better society where people care for each other.

Still thinking about Wake Up Dead Man. What a beautiful, beautiful film. The core message of the sin of Ahankar, of arrogance and ego, vs the blessing of selfless service to those in need to glorify god rather than yourself is such a fundamental hindu belief.

By the end of the day, most places ened up "White" for Christmas. Generally 2-6cm (I had 2cm), except a 10-16cm "Santa Snow Surprise" over a few SW areas adjacent to the Bay of Fundy.

The immediate threat has always been not that it would take jobs, but that some dipshit exec would spend a billion dollars integrating it into the business, drive everything off the cliff, and 5-8 years later the rest of us are left picking up the pieces.
The exec that said "we thought it was farther along then it was" is absolutely the greatest issue right now. Not only is it not capable of doing any of these things on a broad scale, it will do them significantly worse than any employee. Going all in on something to boost stock value that fails.
Honestly im shocked

Well

Sir Terry Pratchett is best understood as one of the most interesting, deeply ethical practical (I would say Pragmatist but I cede to actual experts) philosophers of the late 20th Century who just happened to work in deconstructed fantasy literature as his medium.

Yes. In addition to long-term street redesigns, we need to enforce traffic laws.

We currently have a culture that doesn’t consider road rules (like speed limits) to be legitimate or real.

Some jurisdictions — Ontario, Alberta — have banned/restricted automated speed enforcement. That’s bonkers.
Is enforcement the answer to a deadly year on Calgary roads?

Some possible reasons: US went from potato exporter to importer. Mostly from Canada.

Most of the potato parts of Canada are pretty close to the potato parts of the US (AB & BC vs ID, OR, & WA). So it's not a HUGE difference. But it can change up supply chains just enough to be noticeable.
Has anyone noticed that in the last few years the potatoes simply don’t keep as long? Wtf is up with that
