It is very slippery on untreated surfaces out there, folks. Take your time when moving by all modes.

Pedestrians may have a hard time crossing roads. I just made it down the hill to the waterfront on foot, but barely!

Thx to staff for getting the salt out in advance.

I ❤️ to travel, & have more photos of public spaces than of my family from our gap year….so this is a fun read from someone with a similar perspective visiting Hali.

We have a beautiful city, within a beautiful municipality. I am so grateful be able to work on preservation & improvements in my roll.

Heads up – a new southbound transit-only lane is now open from Artz Street to the Cogswell District roundabout. This lane is for buses only and completes a missing link in the Barrington Street transit corridor from the north end to downtown, helping transit move faster and more reliably.

For those of you outside of Vancouver, Josh is the city’s Director of Planning.

I think we are fairly fortunate to have alignment across staff, council, fire dept and industry.
A significant move Vancouver made this week was moving forward with enabling novel Single Egress & Space Efficient Stairs. Led by the great team in Development, Buildings & Licensing, supported closely by Vancouver Fire Rescue Service; and Planning this will be transformative for low-rise apartments

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.
