#ElectionsMatter
Doing things right and DOING THE RIGHT THINGS.

It's not about left or right, it's integrity. Caring for the future generations.
Both times when Lula da Silva has been president of Brazil, the Amazon deforestation has been cut in HALF!
Same country, military... leadership!

#COP30 is underway — and mayors of world's leading cities are there. Learning & sharing.
Toronto's? Not interested.
In most issues, Chow acts as former mayors Ford & Tory did. No lead at GTHA, national, international levels.
World class city benefits participating at C-40, COP30, more.

NYC's 125,000 Baby Boxes: Mayor-elect Mamdani promised.

Number of babies born in NYC each year.
Cities can/should learn from each other.
All are different, so not copy-paste, but YES adapt & improve, what to avoid & what to adapt.

STOP road deaths. Now! NOT accidents; incidents.
Rates per capita:
• Canada & Australia more than double Sweden, Singapore, UK, Norway.
• US: sadly 500% higher rate than those countries, and over 100% higher than Canada or Australia

The power of SOLAR POWER. Jamaica.

Her mango & papaya trees were lost, by 180mph/290kph winds.
But her roof was intact, so were the solar panels. Most neighbors didn’t have electricity. She did.
Next day "sun was shining we had our power back.”

Why can I walk faster than my streetcar?

Mayor Chow, Council, TTC's Board CAN make streetcars FAST at NO COST:
• Priority lights; as street car approaches, light should turn green for SC.
• Ban cars from streetcar lane on peak hours.
• Eliminate 25% SC stops at peak hours.

A BILLION CHILDREN have died past 75 years.

Terrible: in 1950 20 million children were dying annually before reaching 5 years.
Bad, but much less terrible: approx. 5 million children will die this year before turning 5 years.
Huge progress, but the number must be ZERO DEATHS.

Until 1971 women were NOT allowed to run marathons for 'medical reasons'.
Sunday 27,156 women ran NYC marathon!
More women run 5K, 10k, AND Half marathons 21Km/13mi.

I ran NYC's years ago. Recently, many halves, including NYC's.

I do not run to add years to my life; I run to add life to my years.

The power of NATURE on PEOPLE.
Micro-Forest Bathing / Shinrin-yoku.

Running at heart rate of 145, stop to see the trees, breath deeply in-nose / out-mouth, feel the wind, listen to birds, touch the leaves, and in 60 seconds, down to 65. (my rest heart rate 52).
Back to running.
