Freezing rain is worse than snow. I lost count how many times I drove to work in Ottawa white knuckling it. Then we had that brutal freezing rain storm in the 90's that shut down the outskirts for 6 months. Some without power 3 to 6 months. Stay safe.

I lived in Ottawa 40 years and this is the first time I have heard of such a closure also. Must be crazy

There is no election. We just had one. In his demented mind he is still running for PM. Spending our tax dollars. He just showed himself out the door by admitting he will not give Indigenous People a voice over the pipeline. Can he just go away to another country.

No politician is perfect. Is there such a thing as Perfect? PM Carney has our best interest and he has not had time yet to do what he plans to do. You cannot fix stupid in 4 yrs. Every Gov in power has left years of failures to fix.
