Ok when I mentioned I love Asia I didn’t mend this. I don’t order from SHEIN or Temu or any other one.
The people who make Shein's clothes labor for ten to twelve hours per day (in violation of China's labor laws), some up to seven days a week, and earn as little as 15 to 30 cents per t-shirt.

This is Shein's supply chain. The factories are contracted to make clothes on order - some small, some big. If the chinos are a hit, orders will ramp up and so must production. Factories then hire temporary workers to meet the demand their permanent staff cannot fulfil.
The migrant worker from Jiangxi is looking for a short-term contract - and the chinos are an option.
"We earn so little. The cost of living is now so high," she says, adding that she hopes to make enough to send back to her two children who are living with their grandparents.
"We get paid per piece," she explains. "It depends how difficult the item is. Even though he is 25 it’s hard to let go. Can’t wait to hear the stories when he gets back tho.

I sat in the emergency room for 8 hours with heart palpitations and heart pain. I am so done with this healthcare system. Told them I have a dilated aorta root which might have grown without me knowing. But yup still had to wait for 8 f-ing hours.

T and I made delicious Dutch pea soup and prepared the filling for meat kroketten yesterday.
With an overnight stay in the fridge the kroket filling will be easier to use today.

I was quiet. My loyal 8.5 year old IPad died. So before I had a new one and installed all the info and apps on the new one took some time.

In the end you can wonder if it was a good idea.
This reminded me landing at Kai tak airport (Hongkong) in the nineties. Also with a plane in the water that skidded off the runway. Aaah Kai Tak. Good memories.
