Remember, while Catholics tend to score better on this social experiment they still uphold sexist beliefs, beliefs that create myopia to what single mothers face. They play political games while avoiding all taxes. They are a scam, over 90% of them are evil, losing to mosques kindness.

Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (DIMS) spectacle lenses versus 0.01% atropine for myopia control: a randomised trial in children from Central Europe
Background/aims The global increase in childhood myopia underscores the need for effective control strategies. This study compares the effectiveness of Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments (DIMS) spectacle lenses versus 0.01% atropine eye drops in slowing myopia progression in European children. This report summarises 1-year outcomes from an ongoing 2-year clinical trial. Methods A total of 110 Polish children aged 6–16 years, without significant ocular pathology, were randomly assigned to two groups. Group A received single-vision spectacles plus nightly 0.01% atropine drops; group B received DIMS spectacle lenses plus nightly placebo drops. Primary outcomes were changes in cycloplegic spherical equivalent refraction (SER) and axial length, measured every 6 months. Results After 12 months, mean axial elongation was 0.19±0.03 mm in group A and 0.11±0.02 mm in group B. Among 6–11-year olds, group A showed greater elongation (0.30±0.05 mm) than group B (0.15±0.02 mm). For 12–16-year olds, axial elongation was 0.10±0.02 mm in group A and 0.07±0.02 mm in group B. Mean SER progression was 0.37±0.06 D in group A and 0.23±0.05 D in group B. In the younger group (6–11 years), SER progression was higher in group A (0.60±0.1 D) than group B (0.25±0.05 D). Among older children (12–16 years), SER changes were similar between groups (0.19±0.05 D vs 0.21±0.08 D). Conclusion DIMS spectacle lenses demonstrated superior efficacy to the 0.01% atropine in controlling myopia progression in this cohort, particularly among children aged 6–11 years. These findings support DIMS lenses as an effective intervention for myopia control in Caucasian populations.

easier to call someone "evil" or a "back stabber" etc than to analyze the actual reality.

Thanks Alex, really helpful analysis. I think the emphasis placed on Oak National Academy, and the contradictions re autonomy/centralised control are at best signs of myopia and at worst reasons for deep concern.

Ethnic and dose-dependent differences in atropine efficacy for myopia control: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Background/aim Clinical uncertainty remains regarding optimal atropine concentration, treatment duration and potential differences in efficacy for myopia control between Asian and non-Asian children. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the efficacy of different concentrations of atropine for myopia control, comparing outcomes among East Asian, South Asian and white European children. Methods Five databases were searched for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) including children ≤16 years with myopia who received atropine treatment. Thirty-four RCTs with ≥12 months of follow-up were included. Weighted mean differences (WMD) in spherical equivalent refraction (SER) progression and axial length (AL) elongation were pooled by atropine concentration and ethnicity. Results Compared with controls, atropine significantly reduced myopia progression across all concentrations:

The myopia of American political discourse is perhaps never more evident than in a discussion of "fraud & abuse" in programs like SNAP & Medicaid. But, nary a word about the "fraud & abuse" of DC's sacred cow, the Defense Department, which pisses away $ tens of billions in waste & fraud every year.

Secondary techniques needed for myopic macular holes
NEW YORK — Secondary techniques are needed to address macular holes in patients with myopia, according to a speaker at OSN New York Retina. Christina Y. Weng, MD, MBA, FASRS, said myopia has reached epidemic proportions, and it is increasing in prevalence across the United States and around the world. “In the United States, the prevalence is nearing 45% and exceeding 90% in parts of Asia,” she said. “In fact, by some estimates, by 2050, myopia is going to affect about 50% of the global population, with one in 10 people expected to have high myopia.” This rise in prevalence is important because
