In re: people being disappointed in Turkish Delight*, I’ve just realised that sweets came off the ration in 1953, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was published in 1950, and it’s at least possible Lewis himself hadn’t had any Turkish Delight since Xmas 1938.

* though as I’ve said, I like it.

I don't have a problem w/ this. Every day is shit w/ new chaos thrown at our feet & no end in sight. I have no problem w/ politicians getting some good moments. We all need it to recharge. I make sure I get mine every Saturday as a minibreak from the hell we deal with on the daily. It's empowering

Happy Monday folks! We've got blue skies and sunshine, and Hubby & I are easing ourselves into the day. We're off on our minibreak just after lunch so relaxing for a bit before we catch our train. I got 3/5 on Visible which is better than yesterday, but I've got my usual 'travel tummy' IBS issues 🙄
